“Komedi lelucon horor yang menyenangkan” berpusat di sekitar kehidupan Tatami-chan, hantu sinis dari Prefektur Iwate yang sekarang tinggal di Tokyo di antara roh-roh lain, entitas gaib, dan manusia. Selain berurusan dengan masalah-masalah dunia lain, Tatami-chan yang menganggur juga harus berurusan dengan pencarian kerja serta membayar gas, air, dan listrik.
